Does the LG 47LM6200 Really Give You the Cinematic Touch?

The selling title of the LG 47LM6200 is a 47” Cinema 3D 1080p 120Hz LED/LCD complete with Smart TV and 6 pairs of 3D glasses. As far as advertising prowess and marketing goes, this is quite a valid way of gauging your interest, maybe as much as it engaged ours. So, let’s start with the best marketing ploy ever – value for money. The LG 47LM6200 lowest price could be had at about $1,585 from Amazon. This is by no means what we could call cheap, but is it worth the money is what we are more focused on. LG advertise their LG 47LM6200 as having the next generation 3D technology, with crisp 3D image. We shan’t argue with the fantastic 3D images, which are definitely amongst the prime contenders to be the best but, as for advanced technology we beg to differ. The 3D capabilities are as they should be….. period!

  

Then there’s the LG Smart TV, which offers limitless entertainment. Again, we have to agree that the Smart TV witnessed within the LG 47LM6200 is one of the better we have experienced but you have to insert a User ID and password every time you do access this feature – certainly not a comfortable feature, in terms of access! Their Magic Remote is surely the most memorable single feature of the entire LG 47LM6200, as it is simply unique and only Wii users will know exactly how handy and effective this can really be. Smart Share is a way of sharing files from external storage devices or even smart phones or laptops. Great, but not exactly innovative!

 

So What Do the Buyers Really Think About the LG 47LM6200?

Video processing appeared to pass the test with simplicity, due to the amazingly clarity of the picture, including that in 3D. Tested in HD DVR, Blu-Ray or Standard DVD the in-built conversion inside the LG 47LM6200 evokes crystal-clear pictures, deep colors and amazing resolution.
LG is German quality at its peak and there is no shortage of quality surrounding or inside the LG 47LM6200. Cheap is an adjective which is not familiar to LG designers and they will go to great lengths to protect their identity.
Of course wireless connection via Wi-Fi is a nice but necessary attraction and its vast array of connection inputs/outputs is also somewhat expected – you get 4 HDMI ports, 3 USB ports, 1 Composite input and 1 Component input.

Careful About the Dimensions!

Imagine getting the dimensions wrong! Well, according to 1 buyer even the LG 47LM6200 Amazon specs were wrong! So, to set the record straight, the LG 47LM6200 carries these measurements 42.9” x 10.4” x 28.4” and weighs 39.2lbs.
Tru Motion is another of LG’s inventions, although we can safely say that we do not know what it does exactly! In fact, apparently, you cannot control this function as it remains enabled all the time, no matter what you try to do.
We did mention that this was not the cheapest 47” 3D plasma you would find but we are pretty sure that, with all the features and extras you get with the LG 47LM6200, there is no doubting that it is definitely one of the finest examples of workmanship and technology and that, at the end of the day, when all is said and done, you would regard it as a bargain and therefore, worth every cent you spent!
